講演概要：
Direct simulation Monte Carlo (DSMC) is a physically based probabilistic method and has become a predominant predictive tool in rarefied gas flows. The talk will start with the general description of this method from the history, modeling, recent progress, to applications. The emphases will be laid on the DSMC method adopting an accurate intermolecular collision model and the application in vacuum field by the speaker. During the presentation, the unique glamour of the DSMC method will be demonstrated from the application examples and the speaker’s research interest on this method will also be presented.
